Karma literally means ” action “, but in a broader sense it refers to the law of cause and effect. Every action of the three doors: body, speech and mind produces a “seed” that will bear the “fruit” of its consequences in the future, when there are the right conditions for its manifestation. Positive actions have positive effects, like kindness, love, generosity. Negative actions produce negative effects, such as suffering, pain, anger and unhappiness. Karma does not mean that life is determined, but that present conditions are the result of past actions.
